At the beginning of 2012, SMAK opened a small branch in Sabatia, Western Kenya. Currently this is a small tailoring project with a handful of full and part time students, but we hope to expand this in the future to include some of SMAK's other activities.
There are many women and youth groups in this rural area and SMAK looks forward to working with them. We would like to work with these communities in the area of HIV/AIDS awareness, home based care for those affected by HIV and a day care center for children of the tailoring students.
